Not much to blog about today, at all.

Priscilla knows exactly how it is, one minute you're being wheeled down the hospital corridor, literally shitting your pants, begging for NEEDLES! Alice is over here losing her mind completely, while Daphne's offending her superiors by taping celebrities' REAL personalities in 3-part series.

Rebecca's inviting regular "not famous among twelve-year-olds" to accompany her to HuffPo. And Dooce,...something kind of boring about seeing Drew Barrymore at the White House.

From Meandering to Marveling

That was a short drive, and we'll get the ice cream later. This nausea, not my best friend, and to think I was sure it was birthed by conflict. Believed that for a few uncertain weeks. Nope, conflict can still exist and be less nauseating than enlightening. I'm sitting in it, and truly, I don't mind it a bit.

It's blowing my mind, and can't say with certainty I know where I'm heading. But definitely not backwards, that's the only thing that's impossible at this point. I like waking up, it's like wow, I didn't know I could have those feelings. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary, just a clearer view of my whole life, and all the things I'd been seeing wrongly.

It's a relief to have made that mistake all my life, only because the realization that I can fix it gives me even more to focus on that's important. I wish I had someone to share all my insights. Just random things like, yeah, I can stare Ethiopia's starving children in the face, and think bigger.

It would break my heart of course, I'm not afraid of that either. G'head, break my heart I dare you. It's easier to see anyway, and for that I must thank you.

Helluva good technology!

Before I scoot my kids off to tennis, and grab a venti mocha decaf (hey, I deserve it)...I thought I'd share one of my findings.

Well, it was actually CHIEF MARKETING STRATEGIST who did the legwork, but MY THANKS all go to Google Alert media.

I'd entered "seeking moms, blog" in some rectangular box (looking for opportunities to host crafts, and throw contests).

Blonde Duck says sharing is caring, so here ya go:

No, not the google alert link (I've no clue how to do that). You'll have to seek that out yourselves.

Oh, and THANKS MOMVERSATIONS, for giving us somewhere to mobilize ;-) when we're not playin' Scrabble, or just lazin' aboot.

Eye of the beholder

The older I get, the less conservative I become.

I've never found the Bratz collection to be offensive, but edgy.

Sure, it took some getting used to (clothes won't fit on Barbie?)

And snap-off shoes, I'm just confused, "we think it's cool, Mom."

Okay, me too then.

Of course, I'm homeschooling fashion designer daughters.

And from that point of view, it's risky choices that draw followers.

The belt buckle incident, well it's parents that guide their children's behaviors, I'm among the few, we non-objectors.

Society has SOME responsibility I suppose, to parade proper values that we'd never rebel at.

We'd just cheer them on, right? Yes, that's community spirit!

I don't blame it on the toy makers (we all need hobbies) for their wrong-bred inspirations.

It's those devils on the catwalk I take issue with, instead.

'Cause you totally should be

Free buttons anyone? Get 'em here...or just ask me where I got mine. I'm keepin' a purse full of extras (way cooler than signs).

Higher Ed

Alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon,...zeta, eta, theta, iota,...kappa, lambda, mu, nu, xi, omicron,...pi, rho, sigma, tau, upsilon,...phi, chi, psi, omega. Other than the word "zeitgeist" in psychology class, this was the only other useful bit of information I gained in college.
